The Biography Of Radhanath Ray

Radhanath Ray was an Odia poet of the early modernity era who lived in the late nineteenth century. He was born into a Zamindar family in Baleshwar (Bengal Presidency), now in Odisha, and is known as Kabibara in Odia literature. In his early years, he wrote in both Odia and Bengali, but eventually moved his writings to Odia solely. On September 28, 1848, he was born in Kedarpur village, Baleswar district, Odisha. In the nineteenth century, he contributed rhymes and poetry to Odia literature.

Kabitabali, a collection of Bengali poems written at the age of eighteen, was Radhanatha Ray's first major effort. During that time, it was covered in almost all of Kolkatta's main newspapers and periodicals.
